Senior′s Anti-Fake Education

Online misinformation is a serious threat – from fake cures for COVID-19 to false information on financial issues. Not being able to distinguish fake news from real news can have serious consequences for a person’s physical, emotional and financial well-being — especially for older adults.
SAFE is an Erasmus+ project that aims to enhance the capacity of seniors (65+) to detect fake news on the internet, by helping them develop their media literacy and critical thinking skills.
OUR GOALS
Support digital inclusion by enhancing the media literacy and critical thinking skills of seniors.
Provide adult educators with professional skills and tools for developing elderly people’s ability to detect online misinformation.
Apply age-sensitive didactic and methodological principles in digital competence education to promote the participation of senior citizens in lifelong learning.
